Grants Awarded 2020-2021

The Parish Council has awarded the following grants for the financial year 2020-2021.

Financial Grants awarded by the Parish Council’s Finance and Administration Committee.

Citizens Advice Service in Three Rivers
£2,000 to support the costs of engaging a home visiting and case worker at the Abbots Langley Branch.

Lions Club of Watford
£2,000 for the purpose of supporting the Abbots Langley Carnival and Firework Display.

St Lawrence’s Church
£2,500 to support the costs of maintenance of the churchyard maintenance and maintaining the environment.

St Paul’s Church Langleybury
£1,500 to support the costs of maintenance and improvement of the churchyard.

Abbots Langley Festival 2020

£2,000 to support the costs of staging the Abbots Langley Festival 2020.
(As the festival was cancelled, it has been agreed this grant will be carried over to 2021 when it is planned the festival will be staged.)

Abbots Autumn Fest 2020

£750 to support the costs of developing a website (£500) and staging the Abbots Autumn Fest 2020 (£250).
(As the Autumn Fest was cancelled, it has been agreed this part of the grant will be carried over to 2021 when it is planned the event will be staged.)

Financial Grant awarded in the 2020-2021 financial year by the Parish Council.

The Henderson Hub
£37,400 for the purpose of supporting the operating of the hall as a community resource.

The following Small Grants (£250 or less) were awarded in 2020-2021.

Abbots Improvement Group (AIMs)

£250 to support the cost of plantings, fertilisers and other materials for community gardening projects.

A lower number than usual of small grants have been awarded as the scheme usually supports groups and events that are currently on hold due to the pandemic.
