Abbots Langley Parish Council Civic Awards
ALPC formally established the Civic Awards in 2007 to celebrate local residents and organisations making outstanding contributions to the life of the Civil Parish. Since its inaugural year, there have been thirty-seven winners and while each winner had their own unique story, all past winners have one thing in common – a selfless determination to help others.
Do you know an individual that is continually going that extra mile for others, or an organisation that acts as a focal point for the community in an important way? These awards provide the perfect opportunity to thank them for all they do.

Nominations for Awards
Nominations for 2023 are now closed. Winners will be announced at the Chair’s Reception & Awards Dinner on 25th March. Nominations for 2024 will open in January 2024.
Qualification Criteria
Individuals nominated need to be living within the Parish of Abbots Langley or in the case of a group, the group must operate from within the Parish and a majority of its members and officers should be living within the Parish. These awards are not open to serving Abbots Langley Parish Councillors, or those who have served in the past. Past or present members of ALPC staff and their immediate families or serving members of other authorities are also not eligible. Non-serving members of other authorities are eligible, as are groups in which any of the above serve. Nominations that do not meet these qualification criteria will not be considered.
