Meetings

During July the Parish Council meet on the 14th, there are also meetings of the Leisure, Planning & Highways and Finance & Adminstration Committees. In addition to the Parish Council meeting on 14th July, an Extraordinary Parish Council meeting will be held on 28th July at 7:30pm, this will be followed by the Finance & Administration Committee meeting at 7:45pm. Details are on our Calendar. The press and public are welcome to attend all meetings.

For residents of the Parish and users of our services, we hope that you will find this a valuable resource detailing the services that the Parish Council provides. These services include venues for private and group functions, allotments and sports facilities.

The website also covers the official side of the Council business, giving information on who are your local Councillors and how they can be contacted.

The Calendar shows details of when all the Parish Council and committee meetings are held. You can also access the agendas and minutes for all meetings through this link.

For those of you visiting our website from further afield. Abbots Langley Parish Council is one of the larger Parish Councils, serving around 23,000 residents in SW Hertfordshire. The area is mixed urban and rural

Abbots Langley is a vibrant community, with many groups offering a wide range of leisure and social activities. You will find links to these groups on our Local Organisations page.

Good access to road, rail and air links means the Parish is home to many commuters, regular train services from our local station at Kings Langley and Watford Junction station; mean the Parish is well connected to the rest of the country and only 20 minutes from Central London. Passing through the Parish is one of the country’s main roads the M25, London’s Orbital Motorway. On our eastern border is the M1 the main motorway linking London and the NW of the country.

More traditional thoroughfares also pass through the Parish. The Grand Union Canal, which links London with Birmingham, with connections into Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire, is a popular local leisure resource, both on the water and for walking or cycling the miles of easily accessible tow paths.
