Hillside Hall
Hillside Hall is a traditional community hall, located in School Mead in Abbots Langley.
The hall is used by many local groups, including the residents association, a community church, children’s and youth groups. It is also used by the National Blood Transfusion service for their regular donor session. Other regular users include retirement and reunion groups.
Hillside Hall is also used by individuals for christenings, celebrations of life, birthday and anniversary celebrations. A bar is available, as well as facilities for the preparation and serving of food.
Street car parking is available in the School Meads area.
The Parish Council is working closely with Three Rivers District Council on the future of Hillside Hall. Outline plans have been drawn up to replace the existing building with a modern purpose built community hall, specifically for the use of residents, community groups and other organisations. As at July 2008 planning permission has been applied for and if the development is approved, it is likely building work will commence towards the end of January 2009.
We are currently taking bookings for Hillside Hall up to and including the weekend of 10th/11th January 2009. This information will be updated if the redevelopment schedule changes.
Location: Hillside Hall, School Mead, Abbots Langley, WD5 0LA.
