Grants Awarded 2018-2019

The Parish Council has awarded the following grants for the financial year 2018-2019. Grants will be paid in April 2018.

Financial Grants awarded in the 2018-2019 financial year by the Parish Council’s Finance and Administration Committee.

Back to the Front” – Abbots Langley Great War Project
£3000 to support the cost of producing the “Just a List of Names” memorial book.

Abbots Langley Cricket Club
£650 to support the cost of soil, seed and fertiliser to maintain the cricket table.

Citizens Advice Service in Three Rivers
£2,000 to support the costs of engaging a home visiting and case worker at the Abbots Langley Branch.

St Lawrence’s Church
£2,000 to support the costs of maintenance of the churchyard maintenance and maintaining the environment.

St Paul’s Church Langleybury
£1,500 to support the costs of maintenance and improvement of the churchyard.

Lions Club of Watford
£2,000 for the purpose of supporting the Abbots Langley Carnival and Firework Display.

Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust
£750 to support the cost of working parties at Longspring Wood, Toms Lane.

Royal Air Force Association – Abbots Langley & Kings Langley Branch
£250 to support meeting and association event costs.

Abbots Langley Flower Arrangement Society
£250 to support the cost of hall hire, meeting, demonstrators and affiliation fees.

Abbots Langley Carers Network

£350 to support costs of coffee mornings, events and visits

Financial Grant awarded in the 2018-2019 financial year by the Parish Council.

The Henderson Hub
£32,000 for the purpose of supporting the development of the hall as a community resource.

The following Small Grants (£250 or less) were awarded in 2018-2019.

Hillside Residents Association
£250 to support the cost of staging the “Autumn Fest 2018” on School Mead.

Abbots Langley Local History Society
£250 to support the cost of staging the Elvira Henderson exhibition in the Henderson Hub Gallery.

Abbots Langley Methodist Church

£250 to support a project to refurbish the kitchen that is used by many community groups.

Abbots Langley Festival

£250 to support publicity costs for the 2018 festival.

1st Bedmond Brownies

£250 to support the costs of setting up a new Brownie pack.

Breakspeare Community Preschool

£190 to support the cost of purchasing a “cosy pod”.

Abbots Youth Football Club (U9 Black Team)

£250 to support the cost of a new team kit.

All grants are awarded under “The General Power of Competence, Localism Act 2011 Sec 1 (1)”. Abbots Langley Parish Council is an entitled council under the aforementioned order.
