Grants Awarded 2011/2012

The Parish Council has awarded the following grants for the financial year 2011/2012; grants were paid in April 2011.

i. Royal British Legion

£250 for the purpose of supporting meeting and Armed Forces lunch costs.

ii. Abbots Langley Parent and Toddler Group

£400 for the purpose of replacing play flooring and toddler chairs.

iii. Bedmond Sports and Social Club

£700 for the purpose of roof repairs.

iv. St Paul’s Church Langleybury

£2000 for the purpose of maintaining the churchyard.

v. Abbots Langley Bowls Club

£200 for the purpose of replacing ditch fill.

vi. St Lawrence’s Church

£2500 for the purpose of maintaining the churchyard.

vii. Abbots Langley Players

£400 for the purpose of subsidising increased hall hire, licence, rehearsal room and production costs.

viii. Abbots Youth Football Club

£600 for the purpose of subsidising pitch hire costs.

ix. Bedmond Women’s Institute

£200 for the purpose of subsidising hall hire costs.

x. Abbots Langley Cricket Club

£500 for the purpose of maintaining the cricket square.

xi. Abbots Langley Women’s Institute

£200 for the purpose of subsidising hall hire costs.

xii. Langleybury Cricket Club

£500 for the purpose of maintaining the cricket square.

xiii. Lions Club of Watford

£2000 for the purpose of supporting the Abbots Langley Carnival and Firework Display.

xiv. St Lawrence’s Church

£2500 for the purpose of resurfacing two footpaths within the church grounds.

xv. Hertfordshire Scout Council

£500 for the purpose of a contribution towards the cost of purchasing the freehold of two activity centres.



Consideration of all grant application took place at the Parish Council’s Finance and Administration Committee meeting that was held on 24th January 2011.

All grants are awarded under “The Parish Councils Power to Promote Well Being (Prescribed Conditions) Order 2008”. Abbots Langley Parish Council is an entitled council under the aforementioned order.
