Abbots Langley Festival of the Arts 2010
2010 is Festival of the Arts year.
Between Thursday 24th June and Sunday 11th July, the tenth Abbots Langley Festival of the Arts (ALFA) is featuring nearly 30 different events, all types of entertainment are taking place. There will be music in abundance - bands (two bands, both new to the festival, one brass, the other a jazz quintet); our own local orchestra; singing (performed by both children and adults); recitals both vocal and instrumental.
Flowers are featured - in the garden, in a vase and as the centre of a large display. Poetry read, and plays performed for your enjoyment. There is also the opportunity to see how clever some people are with display of art and crafts, and even an opportunity to try your hand at cane weaving!
Historians are also catered for with a rare chance to see old maps and artefacts. There can be no excuse for not coming to the festival – there are many varied and interesting events to see.
Festival brochures, which contain information on all the events and how to book tickets, will be delivered throughout Abbots Langley during the early part of June.
